If you want a wedding venue that’s beautiful and modern with lots of green, Everhart Gathering Place is the wedding venue for you. With spaces for both parties to get ready, you won’t even have to leave the property for your whole wedding day! Morgan and Drew took advantage of all of this and even brought their doggie Marla along for their June wedding.
At the time of their wedding, Morgan and Drew had been together for FOURTEEN years! They met in high school, but didn’t date until they were freshmen in college. They survived long distance and Drew finally proposed during a road trip to Canada. While kayaking in Nova Scotia, they took a break to skip rocks and just admire the view. Morgan had no idea he was going to propose, but when she turned around, he was down on one knee. Both being lovers of the outdoors, I can’t think of a more fitting proposal or wedding venue for them!
Wedding Day at Everhart Gathering Place
When I got there, the girls were getting ready in the cabin and the guys were getting ready in the groomsmen’s suite in a room off the reception area. The girls’ cabin is HUGE! It even has a loft area with a bedroom. The downstairs area has loads of natural light coming in that makes photos a breeze. I really loved that the two getting ready areas were spaced out enough so that no one risks seeing each other, but it was still easy to walk back and forth between. Both spaces are also fully equipped with a kitchen area and bathrooms. We were able to utilize the loft area for Morgan to get dressed without her bridesmaids seeing, and got to do a first look with them with her coming down the stairs. It was a princess moment for sure!
Beautiful Landscapes
Once both Morgan and Drew were ready, it was time for their first look! They both really love all the greenery that Everhart Gathering Place has, so they chose to do their first look under a gigantic willow tree. So sweet! After that, we did all the wedding party photos in the open green spaces just in time to hide everyone before the ceremony.
Their ceremony was outside down by the creek, and they chose a stunning floral piece from Gardenview to surround them during. Their Australian Shepherd Marla got to join them for the ceremony and even came down the aisle! She’s 12 years old and extremely special to Morgan and Drew, so having her there was a treat!
After the ceremony, we knocked out the family photos during cocktail hour, and of course got some with miss Marla. Drew carried Morgan into the reception area as they were announced in and I swear they almost ran me over! It was clear they wanted to get the party started. We finished out the night with first dances, speeches, cake cutting, dancing, and the most beautiful golden hour I have ever seen. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Holbrook!
