Buckland Farms Wedding | Kayla and Ryan

August 6, 2024

Buckland is one of those hidden gem venues in Northwest Ohio with the added bonus that you don’t have to leave the venue to have a complete wedding day. Kayla and Ryan’s wedding at Buckland Farms was beautifully intentional, but also a huge party.

What to expect from your Buckland Farms Wedding

Perhaps the biggest plus to this venue is the gigantic bridal suite that was newly added above the reception area. It has white walls, loads of natural light, minimal details, a private bathroom, and an additional room for changing and storing your items for the day. You will have plenty of space for your entire wedding party in there. There are also additional rooms downstairs for your partner’s wedding party to hang out in. Also, there will be cabins built onsite soon for getting ready!

The reception space is also very minimal and almost completely white. It’s a total blank canvas for your day because you can truly make it your own, which Kayla and Ryan did. They customized napkins with their pup Lenny on them, got a neon sign with their last name, and had their favorite local market cater. Some other special moments were their private vows and Kayla’s first look with her dad. Ryan’s mom even had a handkerchief made from part of her wedding dress!

After a short and sweet ceremony, Class Act by Bob Norris kept the jams coming and the dance floor packed all night. We had to take a break from sunset photos to head back to the dance floor for Love Story (completely valid). If you’re lucky, you might get greeted by the farm dog while taking photos!

Kayla and Ryan’s Story

Kayla and Ryan met while working at the local sports bar chain, Sidelines, in Lambertville, Michigan. When they finally went on a date, Ryan took her to The Heights in downtown Toledo and they walked around the nearby park, Promenade Park, which was lit up for the holiday season. When they were nearing their anniversary, Ryan asked Kayla if they could recreate their first date. So, they went to The Heights again and to Promenade Park where the holiday lights were again shining bright. Little did Kayla know Ryan would propose that night under those lights!
